Can't paste into android emulator

Hello,

Is there a setting somewhere to enable pasting into the Android emulator?
It’s not working with the current IDX Android emulator version…

example:

I’ve tried the adb workaround with pkgs.wl-clipboard-x11
and telenet sms send option, with no luck.

in fact when I try to add pkgs.inetutils or pkgs.inetutils for telenet, and rebuild env,
the emulator breaks

Having this would be extremely helpful. Currently when I CMD+V to paste in a text field it’s interpreted as if the V key is held down or something which causes infinite “vvvv…” to be added in the text field, which makes makes this missing feature even more annoying
