Can't use Terminal: autocloses all of a sudden when I select it 🧐

Accumulating problems tonight after a month of spotless use…
Whether I click the Run python file button or try to enter the command in the terminal, it immediately autocloses all of a sudden. Any idea, please?

Not sure if its the same as this thread:

you can try the solution mentioned over there

Thanks, saw this thread, but not exactly the same issue. The bottom sliding window does display, it’s just the “Terminal” menu that I can’t access (I can activate the Problem, Output and Debugger menus only). But actually, after many restarts, the Terminal is working again.
I can see that based on the past discussions that IDX has a serious recurring problem with this feature.

@Fred3.0 - that seems like a different problem altogether. Can you please file a bug on this one with preferably a screenshot (if it happens again): https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/new?component=1379083&template=1836320

We’d like to get to the bottom of why this is happening.

Will do next time for sure.
I feel it was due to a misalignment of libraries between my dev.nix, pyprject.toml and main.py files.

Your support is highly appreciated.:ok_hand:
