To access it, open Gemini in IDX (CMD+Shift+Space or from the command palette) then click on + new interactive chat thread

This is cool and occasionally useful, but in practice I’m finding it very hard to use because Gemini will very often say “I will make that change to your file” and then just not do anything. I have to strongly prod it with “Go ahead and make the edit” to get it to actually do it. Sometimes it takes multiple prods.
Has anybody found a prompt which reliably gets it to do this in one go? I’m guessing that this feature maybe clashes with some training or prompting which tells it that it can’t make edits.
