Severe Performance Issues and Connectivity Problems

I’ve been facing severe performance issues with Project IDX over the past few days. The tool has become extremely slow, to the point of being almost unworkable. Here are the main issues:

1. Workspace Setup Delay: The tool often gets stuck on “Setting up workspace” and takes an excessive amount of time to load.
2. Emulator and Autocomplete Failures: Even when the workspace finally loads, the emulator doesn’t work as expected, and autocomplete is consistently unresponsive.
3. Frequent Disconnects: There are frequent connectivity drops that interrupt the workflow, making it difficult to make any progress.

I’ve already wasted two days trying to troubleshoot these issues with no luck. If anyone has insights or solutions?

Hi @Mihir_Joshi - are you importing an existing project? Or are you working from a new template created in IDX? (Also, is it a Flutter project?)

It is a flutter project. I created the project in idx itself. Now the workspace is working but emulator is failed to launch the app. I already tried hard restart previews

Thanks for sharing. We will investigate what is wrong here and hopefully have some good news to share asap.

One thing you can try here is adb connect localhost. Please let us know if that works.

seems to be working fine now. I could connect as well
